“When you recover or discover something that nourishes your soul and brings joy, care enough about yourself to make room for it in your life.”

We all deserve to treat ourselves with love and kindness. Who better to recognize what we need?
How can you pamper yourself in the next 24 hours? “Don't Just
Don't just learn, experience. Don't just read, absorb. Don't just change, transform. Don't just relate, advocate. Don't just promise, prove. Don't just criticize, encourage. Don't just think, ponder. Don't just take, give. Don't just see, feel. Don’t just dream, do. Don't just hear, listen. Don't just talk, act. Don't just tell, show. Don't just exist, live.” ― Roy T. Bennett, The Light in the Heart “Start where you are. Use what you have. Do what you can.”
Arthur Ashe Start here Kugler Counseling & Tutoring Services “Forget yesterday - it has already forgotten you. Don't sweat tomorrow - you haven't even met. Instead, open your eyes and your heart to a truly precious gift - today.”
― Steve Maraboli, Life, the Truth, and Being Free Have you taken a look around lately? Do you feel deep appreciation for having shelter? So many in this world do not have a secure place to rest their heads. If you are part of those of us who are lucky enough to have a place you call home, take a few moments today to walk around and soak in just how lucky you are. It may not be perfect. It may not have everything you have ever wanted, but it is your home, your shelter.
Describe your favorite location in your home and why you like it. We can all think of people who influenced our lives for better or worse.
Here at Kugler Counseling & Tutoring Services, we aim to be one of the people who positively change your lives for the better. Who is a teacher or mentor that has made an impact on your life and how did they help you? Some of us think of strangers as always people to be feared while others see strangers as friends whom they just haven't met yet. When you think about it, most people have good intentions. When someone sees another person in need, they often step in to help out.
Write about a recent time when a stranger did something nice for you. New experiences help keep life fresh and interesting. Our brains release neurotransmitters, chemicals in the brain, responsible for feelings such as satisfaction, excitement, and happiness when we experience novel situations. These new experiences help us grow and learn and remind us that life has so much to offer us if we are willing to venture outside of our comfort zone of the familiar.
What was something you did for the first time recently? What is something new you hope to try? Why haven't you done it yet? |
